The Best Photo Spots at Disneyland and California Adventure
Our online course for parents to learn to take better pictures of their kids is called “Capturing Everyday Magic” and where else can you capture more magic than Disneyland? Tenley and I went back to our happy place together this month to celebrate our two littlest one's birthdays (born just one day apart!). Even though we have been countless times apart and together, we still always find new favorite spots and tips that of course want to share with you all.
Here are some of the best photo spots at Disneyland and California Adventure!
Minnie’s House in Toontown
Minnie's house in March is stunning you guys! The trees are in full bloom surrounding it and it is just so beautiful. We waited until Minnie went back into her house so that the crowds of people left to get some pictures sans other humans.
While photographing at both Mickey and Minnie's houses while they were empty, the characters came out so we were able to get a shot with the characters in the background and no people!
In Front of California Adventure in Downtown Disney
A lot of people try to take this picture just under the sign, but we like to take it at the circle of Mickey faces. This helps to avoid other people being prominent in the frame and it makes it easier to get the whole sign in.
In Front of the Walt Statue in Disneyland
If you have ever been to Disneyland, you know that getting a great castle shot is tough because of the crowds. We shared one of our other favorite ways to get the shot in our last Disneyland newsletter but we wanted to share another great angle that helps to avoid the crowds.
Sword and the Stone in Disneyland
Another great castle spot is over by the sword-in-the-stone (by the carousel)
Star Wars Land in Disneyland
There are so many great photogenic spots in this land. We love to get shots in front of this X-Wing Fighter and in front of the Millennium Falcon when the characters leave and the crowds disperse.
Purple Wall in California Adventure
You'll find this super cute wall across from the Inside Out ride in California Adventure. It had great shade in the morning and no one was competing for pictures there!
These pictures were taken using the tips we give in our online course for parents to learn to take better pictures of their kids, and edited with the Lightroom presets and editing tips we give in the course.
