Marin Photoshoot Location: Marin Hills

If you are looking for an outdoor session, whether that be for maternity or family photos, I have eight amazing outdoor locations to choose from in San Francisco and Marin County. After years and years of scouting, I picked these eight because they represent my most requested types of locations, are easily accessible, aren’t very crowded and they are just my favorites because they photograph so well and let each family shine! They also represent a range of time frames when we can begin shoots so if you want that sunset light, you can choose one location, and if you need to work around bedtimes and have an earlier start time, I have that covered, too!

This location is located on a hillside in Novato in North Marin. There are mature trees, open hills, grasses at all times of the year and beautiful rock formations. This location changes seasonally and is not available during some winter months. Sessions here begin 45 minutes before sunset.

In the Spring, this location is teeming with wildflowers and beautiful green grasses. In the summer, the grasses remain long but turn golden and in the fall, they become shorter golden grasses.

If you choose this spot, we begin your session around 45 minutes before sunset for full sessions and 20 minutes before for a mini session.
